Creative Brief and Design Solution
Ellis-Hall Publishing asked me to design a brand identity for their new business. It would be launched in conjunction with their first publication, ‘The Police Writing Handbook’.
The logo is based around traditional reading and writing tools; a pen – in the form of a fountain pen tip, and a book. Both items are portrayed through a contemporary line drawn icon. To accompany the icon, a bold typeface and colour palette was chosen to aid the modern contemporary feel of the brand. It was of high importance that the icon would work at small sizing as it would be placed on the spine of her books. I created the logo, presentation collateral, stationery and the front cover design for their first book.
Police Writing Handbook
Cover design for a ground-breaking new book for UK policing professionals.
The Police Writing Handbook is aimed at helping policing professionals deal effectively with the mountain of paperwork, statements, and reports that take up an ever-increasing part of their daily work.
